Mini Orchids

We've just received new potted mini orchids!  They are $25 & come in a range of different shades & stages of blooming, but all the perfect size to treat yourself to a little color during the winter months.

They also make a great gift for the host of that holiday party you're going to.  Or for all of the holiday parties you're attending this year.

Air Plants

We just recently brought in some Air Plants and let me say that they are absolutely fascinating. The are native to South America and usually grow up in the canopies where they derive their moisture and nutrients from the air and rain and sometimes from debris accumulating around it. They're a natural grey-ish color.  They do not need super bright light but will thrive in moderate light. Although they are "air" plants they still need water. Simply mist them right into the top of the plant every couple of days and they will be extremely happy. Be careful not to over water them (it will cause them to rot)  They take a day to dry out so it is hard to over water them. If forgotten, they will begin to go dormant & if left too long, they will dry out.
