3 Great Gifts for Hosts

Grinch trees are a festive gift ($30 for regular, $50 for deluxe) that will last as an indoor houseplant beyond the holidays.  They are locally grown Golden Cypress trees, all dressed up for the holidays.  Once you've greeted the new year, you can unwind the wire that makes them so grinchy & straighten them upwards in their pot.

Mini orchids are perfect for a touch of colour ($25).  Brighten up your desk space or counter during the grey winter months.  & if you need one for a host gift, they come with care cards so the receiver will feel well equipped to watch over their new plant.

Luxurious soaps are an excellent addition to any home's decor.  They are a visually decadent delight.  Simpatico soaps ($18, pictured below, top row) are pure vegetable soap enhanced with shea butter and olive oil for added moisture and protection.  Mor Emporium soaps ($25, pictured below, bottom row) are also vegetable-based and contain Vitamin E and Shea Butter.

Grinch trees are back!

Hi there, I am a locally grown Golden Cypress tree, all dressed up for the holidays.  Perhaps you would be so kind to take me home?  I sure do like to meet new people so maybe I could be a gift for someone you think is nifty.

Sweetpea's On Breakfast Television

We were delighted to have Frankie Flowers ask us to provide some arrangements this morning for a segment on Nurse Appreciation Week. Little did we realize how much emphasis he would place on Sweetpea's itself! What a great surprise. Check it out . . .

Lovely Mummy Weekend

This was a weekend for the books. Mother's day was one of our busiest weekends yet and we are so thankful for all of your love and support. The flower of the weekend was definitely Peonies. There were about 300 Peonies brought in and they are more or less all gone. Don't worry though it is only the start of their season and shortly they will be a regular flower in the store for the season. Holidays just aren't holidays anymore without being in a flower shop they are a lot of fun and a lot of work but it is so nice to see so many fresh new faces along with our favorite regulars. Thanks again for your support guys we couldn't do it without you.

Easter came! It was lovely!

This past weekend was a gorgeous sunny easter weekend and it was so nice to see so many faces and make so many bouquets. Hydrangeas were also a big hit among hostess gifts and our whole store front was filled and emptied all within two days. Not to worry we are going shopping on Tuesday and will have plenty of more potted plants and Hydrangea. Another thing which is very exciting is that our garden center will be opening quite soon (first week of may) and we will have our backyard filled with hearty perennials and annuals for sun and shade.
Nonetheless, here are some of the arrangements we have been making for easter and spring; Nested Posies.

A Day Full of Good Men

I must say I have never been so happy to see so many men so invested in picking the perfect blooms for their sweethearts. Valentines Day came and went with such a blur but I must say I still do remember the lineups of men at the card wall and the hundreds of bouquets that we made up. With no further ado we have finally managed to take a second to breathe and share with you some of the bouquets that the lucky ladies had received.
